Chapter 3-thing to be
prepare during harvesting oil palm
Tools that going to use in oil palm estate are:-
T-lifter, J hook, sickle with long rod, chisel, wheelbarrow,
basket, brush…
Vehicle:-
Tractor, backhole, 4wd vehicles…
Description:
T-lifter
Use
to loading oil palm to the trailer of the tractor.
Lorry
driver use it when unloading the FFB from ramp.
J
hook
After planter harvest FFB, the partner or himself will collect the FFB
together by using this tool.
Sickle
with long rod (adjustable)
This
kind of tool is used for harvest the taller oil palm trees, and the rod is
joined to another rod so it can extend it or decrease it length. 
Chisel
It
used for the lower oil palm trees like 1 to 5 years trees.
Wheelbarrow
It
is used for planters to collect FFB easily and stack it together so when people
come to collect also will save a lot of time.
Basket
& brush
During
you harvest the FFB, I’m sure that the FFB will drop the loose fruits so these
two kind of tool is used to collect loose fruits. It’s much easy to collect
them compare to you collect the loose fruits one by one.
